The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) was signed into law in 1993, the legislation ensures millions of workers in America do not have to choose between maintaining employment and meeting personal responsibilities. FMLA applies to employers who employ 50 or more employees. This presentation will provide valuable information on understanding the FMLA and its requirements, including the most common FMLA mistakes and their associated risks. Joe Aitchison will also cover best practices on how to manage FMLA alongside the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The agenda for this webinar includes but is not limited to:
• FMLA Compliance – From the Department of Labor’s Perspective
• Top Employer Mistakes
• Employer Best Practice Recommendations
• FMLA & ADA
• Q & A
• BASIC’s FMLA Solution
The first 60 minutes will focus on the above topics, while the remaining time will be devoted to Q&A and insight into BASIC’s FMLA Administration options.
