Don has been involved in the Insurance Industry for over 27 years, most of the time as an Independent Agent and agency owner. His experience gives him a unique insight to the agent community.

In his years as an agent, Don won several awards for sales excellence and served on the West Michigan Agents’ Association board of directors as well as the Agent’s Advisory Council with Citizens Insurance Company.

His forward thinking regarding the use of technology in his agency for both marketing and customer service brought him national recognition from the Applied Systems Users Group and from Insurance Marketing and Management Services (IMMS), where he was featured in one of the monthly audio tape interviews with George Nordhaus, founder of IMMS.

Currently, Don is the Communications Chair for the Indiana State Health Underwriters Association.
